A rockfall event occurred on December 10, 2021 that impeding traffic in the northbound lane of North Tongass Highway near Wolfe Point. DOT&PF maintenance personnel cleared the debris from the roadway and ditch to re-establish both lanes of traffic.

A second rockfall event occurred north of Wolfe Point along North Tongass Highway on January 12, 2022 when a cut slope failed depositing debris on the northbound lane and in the roadside ditch.

On January 14, 2022 a third rockfall event impacted North Tongass Highway at Wolfe Point. Rock was deposited onto the northbound lane and roadside ditch.
